About LinkLens

A little space between a message and a click.

LinkLens helps you read a web address before deciding what to do with it. It is built and published by BenchSprout.

What it does

Paste one HTTP or HTTPS URL. The tool identifies the full hostname, separates structural parts and explains features that can be confusing. All parsing happens in your browser. Examples are synthetic.

What it cannot establish

LinkLens does not visit websites, consult reputation feeds, identify a domain owner or follow redirects. It cannot certify a link as safe, detect every deceptive spelling or determine whether a message is genuine. A valid URL can still lead to a harmful website. A complex URL can be legitimate.

Our editorial approach

Field notes link to primary documentation and consumer protection guidance. Each guide distinguishes address structure from evidence about a real website. Research notes inform the questions we answer; community anecdotes are not used as security instructions.
